我找到了解决办法。现在，似乎获得 product/item 的运输 class 的唯一方法是对其调用 get_shipping_class()。

因此，在上面的代码片段中，我更改了...

$shipping_class = $cart_item['data']->shipping_class;

...到...

$shipping_class = $cart_item['data']->get_shipping_class();
